When the phone rings.. I just pick it up. Don't say a word. It works!!! If you don't say a word the bot does nothing and hangs up. If it's a real person- like a friend... they go hello- hello.
I am getting a FEAR of answering the phone. Because it's always some dumb lawyer- or the annoying doctors office threatening me to come in.. you name it.
I'm very short about this !
When some thing calls with a special offer . . . I just say: not interested, good luck . . . and I hang up.
